Great Cataloging App

Use it almost every day. Easy to use and user friendly. Simple and effective.

Great App!

Id give it 6 stars but it only goes to 5! Ive got full versions for both iPhone/iPad. Well worth it. A lot of functionality! Always keep my collection on my hip...

Well worth the money

The free version gives you 10 entries, which is fine to try is out. Well worth $6 for the full version. Added 120 DVDs in a very short time just scanning the bar codes. No issues at all so far.

Good but it adds up

When you have a tablet and a phone you want to access it from and have to pay each time....sigh.

Must Login to Facebook to use.

Its awesome for real movie buffs

Just because it says UPC scanner doesnt mean u can only use the app that way. I type mine in manually and i love it. My family n friends also use it

Pretty worthless

Actually completely worthless without considerable in-app purchases.

Good Program

So far I really like it. It will be handy to have a list of our movie catalog with us so we dont accidentally buy doubles of movies we already own. If you own a bunch of movies like we do youll need to pay for the full app so you can use the bulk scanner. The one thing I wish they would add is a way to add multiple titles when using the database search.

Great app

Great and easy app.

There are better and cheaper ways

Organizing movies is a great thing to have an app for no doubt. However, this app costs too much. Youre better off just getting an IMDB account and the app and creating a list within IMDB as its free and does the same thing.

Great app so far

I just got this app yesterday and so far I love it. Its very easy to use. Only thing I wish it had was a way to sort movies by type. Horror, comedy etc. I hope that becomes a feature in the future. The bulk add is amazing and makes adding your movies really fast.

Needs work

There are several features I relied on in the previous iteration, iCollect, that I wish could be in this too (hyperlinks for actors and directors in movie listings, customizable movie cells, etc.). Without an update Im going to continue to use the old version even if its no longer supported.

Good App, necessary features cost

This is a good app, I just wish it wouldve stayed clearly that you will eventually have to pay 5.99 to fully use it. I dont mind paying for an app, especially one that is well programmed and very useful, but I dont like feeling that it was done sneakily. That being said... Because I take my collection seriously, I will buy the full version. I do think it is too expensive, but only by a buck or two. And this user who says its the same thing as the IMDB app free list clearly didnt use this app very much. There are tons more options here than the IMDB option offers.

Same as iCollect Pro but have to pay again

I purchased iCollect Pro a couple years ago but instead of continuing with that there is a new app that does the same thing but I would have to buy again. All the features that make this useful will eventually cost you $$ so dont get too excited about it unless you are willing to pay.

Not happy at all!!!

When I got this app I paid $5.99 so I could scan in bulk items! It worked fine. Now Im trying to scan in additional disks I just got and when I select bulk scan its telling me to pay $5.99! I already paid this! Why did I pay that in the 1st place and have access to bulk scan if but not now? Im so mad and I feel like Im being ripped off.

Great program

Easy to use and inexpensive.

Sort it Movie Collector

Great app with clear and easy ways to get all of your movies into one app. Minus one star for lack of collection sorting options. But I would recommend this app.

Great for keeping organized!

Ive been a user of this app prior to Sort It! Purchasing it several years ago (believe it was called "iCollect" at the time. Was very happy with iCollect, and when SI bought them, there was some strong resistance- myself included. It began when people had to repurchase the app, which put many people off. Them having my database already via iC made my decision somewhat easy, and hoped it would be the only hitch in the transfer. Unfortunately, it wasnt. Several months later, a flood damaged their servers and due to faulty backup plans, many people lost their collection databases. In an effort to please the now furious customers, SI offered everyone that was a current customer free versions of their upcoming desktop app that synced with your collections, as well as gave you another way to add and edit your databases. Many people never received their free keys for the desktop apps (again, myself included) once they were released, and I followed the hubbub on Facebook for a time, with no real resolution other than some indication that the time to collect on your free desktop app had passed. So... Why the five stars? To be honest, I just love the app- and, keep reading, as I was in for a pleasant surprise today, which Ill get to soon. I have a movie collection of over 1,000 movies and over 1,200 video games; I keep both the apps SI makes for each of these on my phone. The apps are incredibly handy. With so many movies & games, I may spot an older title on an incredible deal- and theres times I honestly am unaware if its a part of our collection. Adding titles is a snap with its bar code photo option, and if that doesnt work, its simple to either search by title, bar code, or just add the title from scratch if it isnt in their database- and Ill stress that its an odd chance they dont have it on file. Since the listed issues that transpired from the beginning of SI taking over these apps, everything has settled. Frequent updates have kept it up-to-date, titles are rarely missing, and I finally had an experience with customer service today, which was absolutely fantastic. I had emailed their support regarding an incorrect title/ bar code combination (no worries, you can hand edit to keep your collection correct, I just was passing info along so they could get it corrected in their system) over the weekend, and upon our correspondence, I mentioned that I had never received the desktop key from several years ago in one of the messages. To my surprise, I received an email today, several years later, along with an apology and a link to download the desktop app. When I saw the link originally, I saw "purchase" in the link, so thought they may have just sent me to the store site to buy it. Upon clicking the link, I was taken to the download site that installed the app to my PC free of charge. Not only was it the collection app for the movies (where I had contacted) it was a "complete" collection app, including video games, books, Legos, comic books, along with every other category they offer. While SI may have gotten off to a bumpy start at the beginning, its been smooth, uninterrupted sailing for us that do serious collecting. Cant recall any major issues since the database crash several years ago, and for people with "collection addiction" like myself, thats a huge boon. The fact that the apps offer so much in the way of organizing your collections, editing everything (even if its something "found" in their database thats incorrect) and a clean, simple, easy interface makes the apps from Sort It! Absolute must-haves. (PS: you may also access your database from your internet browser- its fun to occasionally show off your collection with a link to it from your social media of choice!)

$5.99 for pro version. Can only scan so many before have to upgrade

Kind of crummy. Not worth the time.

Nice way to keep a list of your movies

Nice app which allows you to keep a list of which movies you own.
