iCollect Movies App Reviews

So I was using Hooked In Motions iCollect for movies. It was running terribly the last few months. So I finally contacted support, only to get a reply that HIMiCollect is now part of the SortIt family. And to download the Movies app, and follow the import instructions. I followed it to the "T", but for some reason the SortIt Movies app keeps crashing as its importing. I also followed the troubleshooting from SortIt, but no luck. I even went as far as purchasing the Pro version just incase I had to for importing. Still nothing. And they dont even provide an email address to contact them about issues. Even though thats what they tell you to do if you keep having issues. What a waste of $5.99 and time. Update 5-20-15: So the guy who runs this database ended up manually fixing my issue. But since the latest update, my 500+ movie list, is now 22. He replied with troubleshooting tips. Nothing worked. Now he wont reply back. Been a few weeks since Ive heard back, and several unanswered emails. Update: 8-3-15: After several unanswered emails, I get a reply back in June. After replying back, I have not since heard from them. Several updates have come and gone, and my issue is still unresolved. And have not heard back. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRAP APP, AND CRAPPY

Dont buy this it will eventually lose your entire database. Its done this twice. Pure garbage.

I was looking for an app to help me keep track of all my movies and ended up finding this one. It keeps everything well organized and helps me to avoid buying doubles! Really have enjoyed the app and would definitely recommend it :)

I love having my movies at a touch. Friends go through it and then borrow them. I love it because I now have a spot to fill in who I loaned it to. No more not returned movies because you dont remember who borrowed it.

Over the years weve collected quite a lot of movies and were constantly buying doubles because we cant remember if we bought it already. Finally this app helps resolve this problem. And if you think you should buy the pro version well it took me a whole 2 minutes of using the free app that I knew I wanted all of its features. You wont regret it, GET IT!!!

Yea, lack of demo for exporting without payment for pro upfront gets you -2 stars right off the bat. Seems to scan and identify just fine, but without export and limits on database makes it next to useless like most others out there. I would pay a reasonable amount for scanning and export instead of typing lists manually, and without all the bells and whistles I could care less about like reviews... But its not offered by any of these apps. Save your cash and time.

Actually Im really quite pleased with the app. And keeping track of all my DVDs ,Blu-rays and VHS.

This is extraordinary app, and a must-have one for any serious collector!!! User friendly, well organized... Great!

Highly recommend for movie collectors

Good app. Easy to use except missing a few functions other similar apps have including No Trailers.

If you have a large collection, its well worth paying for the upgrade to keep track.

I brought the hooked in motion app, then altogether it comes out that its not supported anymore and if I want to continue using a valid app I have to buy the sortit apps app, who knows if after a year, they will merge with another company, and I will have to buy another app?!?

Best app for organizing all of my books, games, movies, and music! Changed my life!

For years, I have kept a Word doc with all my movies, which has been a pain to keep up with and no help when youre out, run across an old fav movie, and cant remember if you already have it. This TOTALLY solves this! SO easy to use, I scanned my over 300 movies and created my new catalog within 45 MINUTES! It even has a wish list section for you to enter a movie as a reminder for the next time youre shopping. Best of all, this catalog is right on my phone, so is always with me - no more duplicates! Just cant say enough good about this app - Im completely thrilled with it!
